Breakfast is often described as the most important meal of the day, providing it does sustenance and energy for whatever activities that lay ahead. Your breakfast provides fuel for the body.
Failure to eat something at the start of the day can have surprisingly serious health consequences such as an increased rate of coronary heart disease and also has more negative impact on school children such as lack of concentration in the class, inability to interact well with their fellow children in school and possibly low IQ. On the negative side, eating high fat breakfasts (such as baked foods, margarine, processed snack foods etc.) too often has recently been demonstrated to also increase the risk of atherosclerosis.
